Pallets are platforms used for lifting and storing cargo. They are typically made of wood, although pallets made from metal and plastic materials are also available. The use of pallets makes the processes of cargo handling and storage much more efficient. Palletized cargo is far easier to load into shipping containers, trucks, railway wagons, warehouses, and other storage or transport facilities.

Standard Pallet Sizes (mm):

  • Euro Pallet 1: 800 x 1200
  • Euro Pallet 2: 1200 x 1000
  • Euro Pallet 3: 1000 x 1200
  • Euro Pallet 6: 800 x 600

The Euro-pallet dimensions of 800x1200 mm are based on the standard 400x600 mm module size, which serves as the foundational module for transport and cargo warehouses in European countries. This standard considers that cargo placed on such a module can be lifted and carried by a worker of average strength. Additionally, Euro-pallet dimensions are designed to match the internal dimensions of transport vehicles in Europe, enabling cargo to be loaded with maximum density—something that cannot always be achieved with ISO standard pallets.
